Halloween is becoming more visible in Istanbul every year: costume days at schools, themed office events, parties in cafés and homes. This year 31 October is a Saturday, so orders will squeeze into Friday evening and Saturday. In this guide we explain, with our own price list, the fastest and most economical way to get a forgotten costume or a late party order to the right address the same day. In a hurry? Calculate your courier price or call us at 0850 307 98 65.
Why Halloween is a last-minute delivery day
The history of the holiday is well covered on Wikipedia; what matters to us is the logistics. Halloween orders are typically small, urgent and date-bound. A costume that arrives on 1 November is worthless. That is why an intra-city courier beats standard cargo: the parcel is collected at one address and taken straight to the recipient with no transfer hub in between.
Typical cases we see: parents who left a school costume at home, hosts who need missing decorations from a boutique hours before the party, bakeries sending themed cakes and cookies, small online shops selling costumes and accessories, and companies moving supplies for an office event. All of them need delivery the same day, before a specific time.
Friday evening and Saturday peaks
Because 31 October is a Saturday, some school and office celebrations will move to Friday, 30 October, while home parties stay on Saturday evening. Friday evening traffic in Istanbul is heavy anyway; we recommend checking live conditions via the Istanbul Transport Management Centre. Placing your order before noon reduces the risk of delays.
Our same-day courier prices in Istanbul
Our pricing depends on vehicle type and road distance. We do not charge a special holiday rate for Halloween; the everyday prices apply this weekend too.
| Courier type | Price | Distance covered | Maximum distance we assign |
|---|---|---|---|
| Walking courier | TRY 144.00 flat | up to 1 km | 1 km (no extra km) |
| Bicycle / e-bike / e-scooter | TRY 216.00 | up to 3 km | 3 km (no extra km) |
| Motorcycle courier | TRY 288.00 | up to 5 km, then TRY 57.60 per km | 75 km |
| Car courier | TRY 288.00 | up to 5 km, then TRY 57.60 per km | 100 km |
The walking courier price is flat up to 1 km, and jobs over 1 km are not assigned to walking couriers. Bicycle, e-bike and e-scooter couriers take deliveries up to 3 km with no extra-km charge and nothing beyond 3 km. For motorcycle and car couriers the first 5 km cost TRY 288, then TRY 57.60 per km is added. We always calculate the real road route, never straight-line distance.

| Bakırköy → Levent | 20.84 km | beyond 3 km limit | TRY 1,200.38 |
A 2.68 km delivery from a costume rental shop in Taksim to a home in Beşiktaş costs TRY 216.00 by bicycle or e-scooter. Carrying party supplies from Taksim to an office in Levent, 8.48 km by road, costs TRY 488.45 by motorcycle or car. Even a cross-continent delivery, say Beşiktaş to Kadıköy, can be completed the same day.
Which courier for which order?
Walking courier: within the neighbourhood
For jobs within 1 km, such as a box of cookies from a café to a party on the next street, the walking courier is the most economical option at a flat TRY 144.
Bicycle and e-scooter courier: fast local runs
Up to 3 km, bicycle and e-scooter couriers slip past traffic. Ideal for costumes, wigs, make-up kits and small decoration packs.
Motorcycle courier: cross-district and urgent jobs
For a parcel that must cross the Bosphorus an hour before the party, a motorcycle is fastest, up to 75 km. In bad weather motorcycles may be restricted for safety; check the forecast at the Turkish State Meteorological Service.
Car courier: bulky and fragile orders
Large pumpkin decorations, tiered cakes, speakers, decor panels or a rainy evening call for a car courier, which covers up to 100 km and keeps items protected.

Practical tips for last-minute shipments
- Order early: Friday evening and Saturday afternoon are Istanbul's busiest traffic windows; book in the morning if you can.
- Pick the right vehicle: under 3 km, a bicycle or e-scooter is fast and cheap; for fragile items choose a car.
- Pack well: fold costumes into a bag or box; use a closed, upright box for cakes and decor.
- Write clear recipient details: add the name and phone of the person receiving the parcel to the order note.
- Plan bulk orders: shipping costumes from one shop to several addresses? Create one order per address, and see our Black Friday shipping guide for other peak periods.
