The best time to plan Black Friday shipping in Turkey is right now. 11.11 is three weeks away and Black Friday (27 November) is 37 days away, and this year's November rush arrives under three pressures at once: near-record parcel volumes, transport costs pushed up by diesel above TRY 96 per litre, and tighter Ministry of Trade checks on discount campaigns. We wrote this guide for online sellers and for shoppers who will order a lot in November: the calendar, why parcels get delayed, a week-by-week preparation plan, ways to cut costs and the current return rules – all in one place.
Summary: shipping in the November 2026 campaigns
- 11.11 Singles' Day is on Wednesday, 11 November, Black Friday on Friday, 27 November and Cyber Monday on Monday, 30 November.
- According to BTK data, 728.31 million parcels were carried in Turkey in H1 2026; about 82% weighed 2 kg or less.
- Diesel rose from TRY 53.6 at New Year to TRY 96.6 on 18 October – carriers' fuel costs have almost doubled.
- Since 1 August 2026 the 'old price' in a sale must be the lowest price of the last 10 days; return shipping via the named carrier cannot be charged to the buyer.

When is Black Friday 2026? The November calendar and shipping peaks

Black Friday is no longer a one-day sale. In Turkey, November is a long campaign season that starts with 11.11, peaks with Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and spills into December with a wave of returns. For shipping, the key point is that order date and delivery date are not the same thing: in our experience, a significant share of orders placed on Friday evening and at the weekend only leave on Monday. The table summarises what each period means on the shipping side:
| Period | Date | What happens in shipping | Key point for sellers |
|---|---|---|---|
| 11.11 Singles' Day | Wednesday, 11 November 2026 | First big order wave of November; dispatches peak on 12–13 November | Stock and packaging supplies ready by the evening of 10 November |
| Black Friday / Efsane Cuma | Friday, 27 November 2026 | Highest order volume of the year; many Friday orders are only handed over on Monday | State your cut-off time and delivery estimate clearly on product pages |
| Weekend extension | 28–29 November 2026 | When campaigns run through the weekend, the acceptance queue moves to Monday | Plan a weekend drop-off point or pick-up |
| Cyber Monday | Monday, 30 November 2026 | New orders land on top of the weekend backlog | Extra packing shift on Monday morning |
| Returns wave | First half of December | Returns flow back within the 14-day withdrawal period | Name your return carrier in the pre-contract information |
The practical takeaway: plan for a three-week window, not a single day. Because 11.11 falls mid-week, it works as a rehearsal. Note every packing or delivery issue that week and fix it before Black Friday.
Why do parcels get delayed in November? Volume and cost pressure in numbers

The main reason is a simple mismatch: orders multiply within days, while vehicles, staff and sorting capacity cannot grow at the same speed. The shape of the market adds to the pressure. According to E-Ticaret Haber's report on BTK's H1 2026 postal sector data, 728.31 million cargo and parcel items were carried in the first six months of the year, about 5% more than a year earlier. Around 96% were business shipments – mostly business-to-consumer – about 82% weighed 2 kg or less, and more than 83% travelled between cities. In short, what fills the network in November is small e-commerce parcels going to another city.
The same data sends a second signal: sector revenue rose by about 35% to TRY 104.45 billion. Volume up 5% while revenue grows 35% points to rising unit prices, and fuel is a major driver. Ekonomim reported on 20 October 2026 that the average diesel price climbed from TRY 53.6 per litre on 1 January 2026 to TRY 96.6 on 18 October. For a truck burning 4,500 litres a month, the fuel bill rose from TRY 241,200 to TRY 434,700, and industry representatives say fuel spending is running 30–40% above their annual budgets.
For sellers this means price updates from carriers, or capacity being reserved first for large contract customers, should not come as a surprise. Weather is another risk: during heavy-rain warnings some governorates temporarily halt motorcycle and moto-courier traffic, so keep a car courier option in reserve if you promise same-day delivery. We cover the wider price picture in our Cargo Prices 2026 guide.
A 6-week Black Friday shipping plan for sellers
21 October – 10 November: lock in capacity and prices
- Forecast demand: list last November's orders and this year's hero products; estimate your busiest day.
- Add carrier options: define separate channels for small intercity parcels, same-day city deliveries and heavy items.
- Buy packaging early: keep boxes, tape, filler and labels above expected need – supply times stretch in November.
- Freeze prices: do not change campaign product prices in the 10 days before the sale (details below).
Week of 11 November: use 11.11 as a rehearsal
- Measure the time from order to hand-over and find the bottleneck – picking, packing, labelling or drop-off.
- Publish clear cut-off times, e.g. “orders placed by 14:00 ship the same day”. This prevents many complaints.
- Group late-delivery and damage complaints and fix the process before Black Friday.
23–30 November: protect the flow in peak week
- Plan extra packing shifts; Friday and Monday mornings will be the heaviest.
- Show the same delivery estimate on the product page, at checkout and in the order confirmation.
- Send urgent same-city orders by courier so they skip the sorting hub.
- Decide the return carrier and return address in advance.

6 ways to cut shipping costs during the sales season

- Reduce volumetric weight (desi): price depends on weight and volume. Define 3–4 standard box sizes for your product range so you don't pay to ship air.
- Combine orders: send same-day orders from one buyer in a single parcel.
- Compare per shipment: the cheapest carrier differs by size and distance – see our Which cargo is cheapest? comparison.
- Use couriers in the city: express couriers skip the hub queue and enable same-day delivery.
- Ship heavy items separately: above 50 desi, part-load offers from logistics companies are often better value.
- Price free shipping carefully: set your free-shipping threshold on current costs and leave room for fuel-driven price updates.
| Shipment type | Channel we recommend | Why | Where on Jetbee |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small parcel up to 2 kg, intercity | Contracted cargo companies, compared on price | Most of the market sits here; a small saving multiplies across thousands of orders | Cargo Marketplace – 8+ contracted brands |
| Same city, same day | Express courier by motorcycle or car | Goes straight to the buyer without entering a sorting hub | Express Courier – from TRY 288 up to 5 km |
| Very short distance in a neighbourhood | On-foot courier (max 1 km) or bicycle / e-bike / e-scooter courier (max 3 km) | Fast hand-over without traffic or parking problems | The right vehicle type is matched to the distance |
| Large, heavy items over 50 desi | Logistics companies (part-load freight) | Volumetric charges rise fast in standard cargo | Logistics Marketplace – up to 80% off |
| Unpredictable daily volume | Several carriers instead of one | Parcels do not wait when one carrier's capacity is full | Compare offers in a single panel |
New rules: the 10-day reference price and return shipping costs
The old price must be the lowest of the last 10 days
According to the Turkish Ministry of Trade's statement of 16 October 2026, amended advertising rules took effect on 1 August 2026: for goods, the crossed-out price must be the lowest price applied in the 10 days before a discount starts. At its 8 October 2026 meeting the Advertising Board decided 161 files, issued suspension orders in 136 and imposed fines totalling about TRY 17.2 million; unrealistic claims such as “75% off” and breaches of the 10-day rule were among the findings. Fines in this area exceeded TRY 249 million in the first nine months of the year.
Return shipping cannot be charged to the buyer
As Lex Lata's seller checklist on the 2026 distance-contract rules explains, since 1 January 2026 a buyer who withdraws and sends the item back with the carrier named by the seller cannot be charged for return shipping; if no carrier was named, no return cost can be requested. The seller's 14-day refund period now runs from the day the item is handed to that carrier. More November orders mean more December returns, so state your return carrier clearly and build return costs into your campaign pricing.
A note for shoppers: check the delivery estimate and return carrier at checkout, keep your tracking number and report damaged parcels to the courier with a written record on delivery.

Frequently asked questions
When is Black Friday 2026 in Turkey?
Black Friday – called Efsane Cuma by many Turkish retailers – falls on Friday, 27 November 2026. Cyber Monday is on 30 November and 11.11 Singles' Day on Wednesday, 11 November. Because many shops extend their deals over the weekend, shipping volumes usually stay high into early December.
Why are parcels delayed during November sales?
Orders multiply within days, but vehicles, staff and sorting capacity cannot grow at the same pace. When a campaign starts on a Friday, a large share of orders is only handed to carriers on Monday, and bad weather or long intercity routes add more time. Planning cut-off times and several carrier options in advance reduces delays.
Who pays for return shipping in Turkey?
Under the rules in force since 1 January 2026, a buyer who returns an item with the carrier named by the seller in the pre-contract information cannot be charged for return shipping. If the seller named no carrier, no return cost can be asked at all. Sellers should state their return carrier clearly before the November campaigns.
How is the 'old price' set for discounted products?
Since 1 August 2026, the crossed-out price for goods must be the lowest price applied in the last 10 days before the discount starts. The Turkish Ministry of Trade's Advertising Board sanctioned campaigns that broke this rule at its October meeting, so keeping prices stable in the 10 days before your sale is the safest approach.
How can I lower shipping costs during the campaign?
Match boxes to products to cut volumetric weight, combine orders and compare prices instead of relying on one carrier. Send urgent same-city orders by express courier and items over 50 desi through logistics companies. On our Jetbee Cargo Marketplace you can see offers with up to 80% discount from contracted carriers on one screen.
Is comparing shipping prices on Jetbee free?
Yes. Our shipping calculator shows an estimated price for free and opening a sender account is free too; new accounts can receive a gift balance of up to TRY 500. You only pay for the offer you choose when you create the shipment.
